Jen Cooper

After giving birth to a lockdown baby in 2020, Jen found herself grappling with the beginnings of motherhood in a uniquely isolated environment. Without the ability to socialise with other parents, she felt alone and lost as a new mum. When midwives at home in Scotland recognised her struggles, they offered her at-home baby massage classes, which she eagerly accepted. Through the powerful medium of touch, she was able to bond with her daughter and develop confidence in her own abilities as a mother. As Scotland began to allow baby and toddler classes to begin again, Jen signed up for as many as she could. Through her own experiences, she saw the importance of connecting with other parents and learning new parenting skills.

As a result of this, Jen is a passionate believer in the power of baby and toddler classes. She is excited not only to deliver interesting, engaging and useful sessions to parents and caregivers, but also to meet and connect with new mums and dads who may be looking for support and confidence, just as she was.

A teacher with a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning and over a decade’s experience in the UK and China, Jen is a confident and professional educator. A certified toddler yoga teacher, she is also fully qualified as an infant massage and baby yoga instructor. Her qualification is recognised by the Royal College of Midwives, The Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (CThA).
